Littleton/Englewood, Colorado benefited by increased capacity from 36 to 50 mgd, reduced nitrates using a first-of-its-kind patented process, recycled waste flow to reduce costs, and an advanced control system that optimizes plant performance. The planning, design, and construction efforts were completed on schedule and $2 million under budget, with no service disruptions.
