Information You Provide Directly – We collect information that you provide to us directly, including when you contact us using a form on the site, send us an e-mail, or request a copy of a technical paper. For example, if you download a full version of one of our technical papers or subscribe to any of our newsletters, we will ask for your name, e-mail address and the name of your organization. This information will not be sold or rented.

Information We Collect Automatically – BC does not use cookies to track users of its website. However, we do utilize third-parties services such as Google Analytics, which may collect certain information like, but not limited to, your IP address and geolocation information.

BC uses the information received to provide you with the services or information you request or respond to inquiries we receive from you or your organization. In addition, user information may be used to improve our website and services to better serve you and to send correspondence regarding services you have expressed interest in or match your preferences or interests. For users who wish to review job opportunities or apply for a job at BC, please be aware that you will be directed to a page that is maintained by one of our third-party vendors. Any resumes or information submitted by you to our career website will be governed by the vendor’s privacy and security policies.

BC also operates and maintains a separate job-listing site for water industry professionals called BC Water Jobs. Jobs listed on that site are for positions with third-party companies and municipalities, and in addition to the other terms of this Privacy Policy, BC is not responsible for any information that is posted by these third parties nor for any of the information a user sends or submits to these third parties during the application process. All users that register or share any of their information on the site, including their resumes, understand and agree that the third-party firm who posted the job opening will have access to the information submitted. If a job listing includes any links, BC is not responsible for the collection of personal information or the security or privacy of such information on said third-party sites or services.

Sharing of Your Information 

To the extent consistent with applicable law, we may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With our subsidiaries and affiliates;

These third parties are employed to provide BC with assistance maintaining our website and services offered on the website and their access to any information will be limited only to perform these tasks;

Likewise, BC is not responsible for the collection, usage and disclosure policies and practices (including the data security practices) of any other app developer, app provider, social media platform provider, operating system provider, wireless service provider or device manufacturer, including with respect to any personal information you disclose to such other organizations through or in connection with our website, social media pages, any mobile sites, applications, or other interactive features.

Children’s Information

This site is intended to be used by adults and corporate entities interested in BC’s services. They are not intended for children, and BC does not knowingly collect or store personal information about children under the age of 13.
