Massive pipeline improves water supply resiliency

This massive project improves water quality for the Sacramento County Water Agency and protects the East Bay Municipal Utility District from future water shortages. The result of a historic water rights agreement between the agencies, the project provides 85 mgd for Sacramento year-round and up to 100 mgd for EBMUD under drought conditions. Brown and Caldwell designed 8 miles of large diameter welded-steel pipeline, flow control and other structures.
