In this exclusive project spotlight, the City of Pueblo, CO discusses how the local James R. Diorio Water Reclamation Facility needed to meet effluent limits while also stabilizing process performance and reducing chemical use to meet regulatory requirements—all on a limited budget. After exploring nine alternatives to meet new regulations, Pueblo selected BC:Ntensify®, which offers adaptive solutions to treat more wastewater with less capital, energy, chemical, and disposal costs. Pueblo saw almost immediate positive results: nutrient levels are now consistently below the permit limits, and they saw an immediate 20-30 percent savings in chemical and energy use.
