DENVER, Colo. — Brown and Caldwell’s Rod Pope, PE, FDBIA (Fellow) has been honored as the recipient of the 2024 Distinguished Leadership Award in the Industry Practitioner category by the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). The Distinguished Leadership Awards recognize an individual that has demonstrated exemplary leadership in the advancement of design-build and design-build best practices, ultimately enhancing our nation’s ability to achieve superior project outcomes.
Rod Pope has dedicated 47 years to the water and wastewater industry, focusing on design-build project delivery as a better way to deliver lasting outcomes for our clients. Over his career, he has managed more than $1.4 billion in design-build projects as an owner’s advisor, design partner, and design-builder. He is known for consistently delivering innovative solutions that speed up schedules and foster trust among project teams. His leadership was integral to 3 DBIA National project Awards since 2006 and Rod was inducted to the DBIA College of Fellows in 2021.
As Co-Chair of DBIA’s Water/Wastewater Program Committee in 2021 and a champion of Design-Build Best Practices, Rod embodies the collaborative and forward-thinking spirit that defines a Distinguished Leader in our field. His commitment to mentorship and industry involvement has left a lasting impact on the next generation of design-build leaders at Brown and Caldwell and across the industry.
