The realization that an existing, deteriorated pipe is a valuable asset that can be restored has led to the rapid expansion of the pipe renovation and on-line replacement market. Traditional forms of open-cut construction are not conducive to typical congested streets, and trenchless methods must be implemented. Trenchless techniques can now be used to repair the deterioration or to upgrade the system to meet changing community needs.
