Dried sewage sludge has been used as fertilizer material for many decades in the United States. Several municipal agencies are currently producing and successfully marketing their dried sludge products, and at least two additional agencies have projects under construction. Information on the products marketed by these agencies is presented here along with an assessment of the important factors in marketing and distributing this material for its fertilizer value.
