WALNUT CREEK, Calif., May 3 , 2017 – Brown and Caldwell, a leading full-service environmental engineering and construction firm, today announced Joe Willich, PE, PMP, DBIA and Ray Williams, PE, DBIA have been approved by the Design-Build Institute of America as Certified Design-Build professionals.

 

In gaining the prestigious certification, they passed rigorous testing and comprehensive evaluation of related work history and references to demonstrate expert competence in design-build project delivery.

 

Willich (Denver), a vice president with Brown and Caldwell since 2014 has been involved in several high-profile projects, including his role as senior manager on the Dixie Drain Phosphorus Removal, assisting the City of Boise to use CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk) instead of traditional Design-Bid-Build.

 

Williams (Atlanta), a senior project manager and design manager for water and wastewater treatment with Brown and Caldwell from 1991-1994 and then continuously since 2006, led upgrades at the R.M. Clayton Water Reclamation Center in Atlanta, the largest wastewater facility in Georgia.
