This paper describes energy conservation measures at the Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle’s Renton Wastewater Treatment Plant. It is divided into two parts, the first describing the operational changes which have allowed the existing plant to continually decrease the energy required to treat the plant’s flow, and the second part describing major new energy related facilities now under construction at the plant.
