Over the past several months, BC’s Owner Advisor team has been partnering with water and wastewater utility owners to virtually advance design-build projects. From defining and executing procurement strategies and virtually interviewing respondent teams to selecting design-builders and collaborating in the cloud, we’ve identified the tools and steps to help keep projects on track. We developed this interactive Virtual Procurement Toolkit to provide guidance, strategies, and successes to our clients and the water industry, which provides essential services to our communities.

The Toolkit includes practical, real-world advice for each step of the procurement lifecycle, considerations for choosing an online collaborative delivery platform, and case studies that informed these Standard Operating Procedures. As we navigate this challenging time together, BC will continue to add and update this Virtual Procurement Toolkit, providing the industry with a necessary resource to minimize disruption and keep critical infrastructure procurements and projects moving forward in this new virtual world.
