Wastewater treatment plants are gassy by nature. Brown and Caldwell Vice President of Wastewater Solutions John Willis says that’s a great thing. Not only do biosolids generate biogas to power the facility, but they can also be converted into top-dollar biofuel that can be used in buses, trash trucks, and small cars.
“It’s good for the environment and helps utilities offset cost,” Willis explains in this Water Environment Federation “Words on Water” podcast.
