Transition Timeline

On August 17, 2026 we announced our decision to sunset BC Water News and BC Water Jobs on October 16, 2026. Here's some key dates and additional information on the transition timeline.

August 17: Announcing 60-day transition to all users via direct email, site banners, social media announcement.

  • BC Water News: Site functions as-intended, no new subscriber sign-ups.
  • BC Water Jobs: Site functions as-intended, no new recruiter purchases or recruiter sign-ups. Job Seekers can continue to use the site as-intended. 

September 19: BC Water Jobs site freeze for final 30-day transition announced to all users via direct email, site banners, and social media.  

  • BC Water News: Site functions as-intended, no new subscriber sign-ups.
  • BC Water Jobs: Site will no longer allow job postings, renewals, or upgrades to featured. All job posted before this date will run through their full 30-day posting period. No functional impacts to Job Seekers except no new user sign-ups accepted. Refund communications for unused credits will be sent and processed.

October 9: Final BC Water Jobs Seeker Digest is emailed to Seekers via email. 

October 15: Final edition of BC Water News sent to subscribers via email. 

October 16: Platforms permanently close and all accounts will be removed.
