Earth Day is every day at Brown and Caldwell (BC). This year’s celebration took a special turn with the firm’s first Workplace Giving Competition culminating in a live town hall with CEO Water for People (WFP) CEO Mark Duey, BC CEO and WFP board member Rich D’Amato and BC Managing Director of Engineering, West, and WFP Executive Sponsor Sarah Reeves to select BC’s representative at WFP’s Impact Exchange in Malawi. Congratulations to Process Mechanical Lead Designer Alex Rivas!
As BC’s representative, Rivas will travel to Malawi and see firsthand the impact organizations like WFP have locally and nationally, building partnerships and infrastructure that changes lives.
Every year, BC holds a Workplace Giving Campaign to drive positive change in our communities by growing employee donations to WFP and Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and supporting volunteer service trips to build a better world through sustainable engineering and clean water solutions. To be eligible for this year’s contest, staff either initiated or increased their current contributions.
“It really goes back to our purpose at Brown and Caldwell: To unlock the potential of water and a healthy environment to create thriving communities.”
Brown and Caldwell Managing Director of Engineering, West, Sarah Reeves
In addition, the company supports Local Champions across its 60+ offices to create engagement activities that amplify BC’s culture of giving.
Unlocking the potential of water by building sustainable infrastructure that brings clean, reliable water and sanitation to communities across the world is core to BC’s culture of giving. To learn more, go to https://brownandcaldwell.com/careers/benefits/.
