Cleanup and Containment of PCBs--a Success Story
Author: Brian D. Bracken, Hilary Theisen
Date: 11/82
Presented at the 3rd National Conference Management of Uncontrolled Hazardous Waste Sites, Washington, D. C., November 1982

This paper describes the methodology employed in meeting the requirements of the regulatory agencies and the General Electric Company and details specific aspects of the project approach and correction plan that may have application to other sites. Unique components of the corrective plan are described that contributed to the project receiving first place in the 1982 California Competition of the Consulting Engineers Association of California, an honor award from the American Consulting Engineers Council, and a certificate of merit from the California Water Pollution Control Association.
