Leading CMAR for Biosolids Expansion at North Davis

Brown and Caldwell is leading the design and construction for the Biosolids and Cogeneration Expansion and Improvements at North Davis Sewer District's WWTP in Syracuse, Utah. With a construction cost of $65 million, it is anticipated that North Davis will become one of the first net zero energy WWTPs in the country when the full series of projects is complete.

Brown and Caldwell is the design engineer and Brown and Caldwell Constructors is the construction manager, working in a Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) delivery model. The project includes construction of upgrades to existing anaerobic digesters, a new primary solids thickening facility, new thermophilic-capable anaerobic digesters, expansion of the existing biosolids dewatering process, and a new biogas-fueled cogeneration facility featuring high-efficiency reciprocating engines.
