Engineers Henryk Melcer (Seattle) and Ken Schnaars (Nashville) each contributed to WEF’s most recent update. Melcer wrote Chapter 5, "Process Control Methods for the Secondary Clarifier,” and Schnaars penned Chapter 7, "Process Troubleshooting.”
The popular reference resource "provides expanded content on process control with step-by-step examples for calculations, a new laboratory chapter with detailed directions for common process control tests, and an introduction to using modeling for process control,” WEF said in its October release. "The publication provides water sector professionals with information needed to solve performance problems and improve operations at water resource recovery facilities.”
